Project Pigasus

an indiana high school screenwriting competition

about

what is project pigasus?

Project Pigasus is a state-wide high school screenwriting competition hosted by Indiana based film company Pigasus Pictures. Indiana students grades 9-12 submit short screenplays, a winner is chosen, and Pigasus brings a professional film crew to the winner's town to fully produce their movie!

Students are involved in every phase of production. Upon completion, the short film is shown before select in-state screenings of Pigasus Pictures' feature films, submitted to film festivals nationwide, and is subsequently released online.

objective

Project Pigasus creates lasting impact on everyone involved. Young Hoosiers are shown how ingenuity, resourcefulness, collaboration, and hard work produces results.  Communities are rallied together around a common, prideful purpose.  Professional filmmakers are given opportunity to sharpen their skills and showcase their talents.  And Indiana is highlighted across the country as a place where great stories are told.
